THE VISION

The Rosamen Bado project is a challenge: to dress with as little production as possible, to create beauty without waste. To achieve this, our clothes and accessories are made entirely from dormant stocks.

The luxury fashion industry produces astronomical quantities of fabric. Once the collections are over, there are still rolls of unused fabric, left over and stored in lighted and heated warehouses. It is this “waste” from the major fashion houses that we use. High-end materials revalorized to guarantee you a quality product at an affordable price.

The pieces of the Rosamen Bado wardrobe are all made in Paris, without exception. A local production which allows us to control all the stages of creation. We know and meet the people who work behind the sewing machines to create your clothes.

Fashion is an environmental, economic and social issue that concerns our generations and those to come. The Rosamen Bado brand participates and acts on its own scale for a transition towards a more environmentally friendly fashion (and world). No revolution without small steps.

STEP 1 – THE SEARCH FOR FABRICS

Gleaning raw materials from recycling centres, fabric manufacturers who work with big houses and coupon shops in Paris … each collection starts with the conquest of fabrics.

I’m looking for colour, prints and sophisticated materials with depth. What I love to find: floral patterns (winter and summer) and jacquard.

STEP 2 – A LOT OF IDEAS

Once the raw material is collected, I take out my pencil to draw the pieces. I draw a lot of inspiration from the past in my creations, whether it is the paintings of the Renaissance or the 60s and 70s. I also like geometric shapes and primary colours.

STEP 3 – REALISATION IN PROTOTYPE

As soon as the capsule is drawn, I approach my pattern maker to make the patterns and fabric if necessary. Once the volumes of the models are fixed, we launch the prototypes.

STEP 4 – SHOOTING THE STARS

When the pieces are ready, I organize a photo shoot and take the pictures myself. I love staging the pieces, looking for locations or tinkering with sets!

We collaborate with artists who are willing to be models. The models are mostly women I meet via Instagram or come from my circle.

STEP 5 – IT GOES INTO PRODUCTION

Our pieces are made in Paris . Produce my pieces locally allows me to follow myself the production.

All the pieces are made in limited series as close as possible to the demand to avoid overproduction. We do not follow the fashion calendar. The goal is not to flood the market, but to live from my passion: create. Producing in (very) limited editions allows me to be continually in a creative process.

STEP 6 – NICE PACKAGE

Your purchases are carefully wrapped in newspaper or factory discarded wallpaper scraps. Inside your package, a personalized note is sent to you with a little surprise illustrated by me or by members of the team with love, as always.

ZERO WASTE POLICY

In each of our collections, our own production scraps are clamed to create accessories of all shapes and sizes. Recently, we designed the BOBBIE hat, an ideal accessory to protect yourself from the sun.
