A few years ago, I discovered a weird movie by director Peter Weir. Its intriguing atmosphere and picturesque shots immediately took me in.
We are in Australia, on February 14, 1900, in a boarding school for girls. A picnic is held for Valentine’s Day at the base of a sacred mountain called Hanging Rock (formerly a place of cult for Aborigines). Some of the students are as if bewitched by the rocks of this mountain and feel the irrepressible need to go there. They will never be found.
The aesthetics of the movie is really striking. It was a great inspiration for Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides.
For the atmosphere of this new collection, I was also inspired by the seventies looks of Saint Laurent.
The “SOLEIL VERT” collection will not derogate from the Bado style, which is hybrid and very feminine.
